Rules & Guidelines
How competitions run on this portal.
The Department's official rules, once published under Notifications & Circulars, replace this summary.
Levels and nominations
- Competitions are held at four levels: Mandal, District, State and National.
- Schools nominate their students to the Mandal level. Student details come from ISMS (the Integrated Student Management System).
- Each level reviews the nominations it receives and approves or rejects them. A rejection always gives a reason.
- A rejected student may be nominated again.
Events and age groups
- Each event is held separately for boys and girls, in the age groups Under 14, Under 17 and Under 19.
- A student's age is counted on 31 December of the year the academic year starts.
- A student may enter their own age group or an older one.
Games and winners
- Each level holds one game per event, age group and boys/girls in its area, and publishes its date and venue on the Games & Events Calendar.
- The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners go through to the next level.
- In team events each player is placed, and a winning team's players share its place.
- The State records the National games. Every level's winners appear in the Winners Window.
